A demonstration in water colour by Dr. Diwarkar Dengle was arranged at Gandhi Bhavan near Woodlands Soc., adjacent to Mahatma Society. This demo was arranged for the benefit of enthusiastic people and for those who couldn't complete their eagerness in leaving art due to some reason. Also this demo was arranged as per the request of Kothrud residents under the expert's guidance.
To begin with Dr. explained about the material and requested the viewers to use best quality of colours, brushes, variety of handmade papers, etc. He explained that the handmade paper has the good capacity to hold the water applied on it therefore get desired water colour effect with better transparency. He also explained how to arrange colour palette, how much colour to take on palette, how to take care of brushes. He suggested that before starting painting plan your rough sketch either with pencil or in colour on a piece of paper as guidance. He was keen to explain the intensity of each colour, so according to requirement one can reduce the tone of the colour. He also explained how to take care of brushes by washing up them in clean water & wiping them out the water, so that brushes can last longer with better points. He also explained caps of the colour tubes must be replaced at an earliest after finishing work to protect them from drying since they are water colours.
